Nursery Ministry
The Nursery Ministry is available for children ages three and under during weekly Sunday service times to provide a safe environment for children to play and be nurtured as an aid to parents of small children.
Healthcare Ministry
For members and guests in need of medical care, the Healthcare Ministry is available to treat minor bumps, bruises, cuts and injuries. (*Note: any major medical care is not the intent of this ministry and should be treated by a medical care provider.)
Usher Ministry
As part of the Usher Ministry, members serve as helpers of the church and assist in worship services.
Jail & Prison Ministry
To help reach out to those that would not otherwise have access to the Word of God, the Jail & Prison Ministry visits the local jail each Sunday morning to minister to and pray with inmates.
Intercessory Prayer Ministry
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry helps meet the needs of members and visitors and takes prayer requests to lift up those in need and praise God for the many blessings he gives. This group meets every Sunday at 7 a.m. in the prayer room of First Baptist Church on the third floor.
Trustee Ministry
To ensure the proper care of the business aspect and the physical church building, the Trustee Ministry takes responsibility over all matters related to church business as a whole.
Deacon Ministry
Providing proper care of the members of First Baptist Church, the Deacons of the church take on a leadership role and provide care for the needs and concerns of the church membership.
Friends Against Alcohol & Drugs Ministry
Keeping the members of the church and the community safe from the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs, this ministry meets every Friday at 7 p.m. and addresses the issues that drugs and alcohol present and creates awareness and education for all.
FBC Community Development Corporation
As good stewards of the community, this ministry provides services to help develop and provide betterment for the community as a whole. Additionally, this ministry provides a scholarship to a community member each year.
Scholarship Ministry
In addition to the scholarship provided by the Community Development Ministry, the Scholarship Ministry provides eight scholarships annually to deserving church members.
Van Ministry
Helping to provide transportation for church members, the Van Ministry helps transport members and guest to church-sponsored events.
Care and Connection Ministry
The Care and Connection Ministry serves as a compassion group, keeping church members connected to leaders of the church and other members.
Sick Ministry
Church members need a little extra prayer and care when they fall ill and the First Baptist Church Sick Ministry provides additional comfort by visiting other members when they are sick or injured.
Strategic Planning Ministry
While First Baptist Church has been a strong, organized church for many decades, the future of the church must also be nurtured. The Strategic Planning Ministry provides this for the church as a whole and plans for the visionary outlook of the church.
Discipleship/Christian Education Ministry
To help educate church members on what it is to be a Christian and the history of Christianity, the Discipleship/Christian Education Ministry provides an outlet to educate members and address any questions they may have.
Benevolence Ministry
There are times in life when people need an extra helping hand and the Benevolence Ministry was created to do just that – provide additional help and care to members who need not be alone during times of hardship and can count on others to help address their concerns.
Kitchen Ministry
The Kitchen Ministry is available to help provide food service and clean-up during and after church functions and in the unfortunate events of funerals hosted at the church.
