Minister Marveya LaNeice Gooch was born to Cedric Lee and Patrice McClain on May 15, 1981. She attended Metro Public Schools where she graduated with Honors from Whites Creek High School. She then matriculated at Xavier University and American Baptist College.

At the early age of 5, Marveya accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she was baptized at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church by the late Rev. Foster Young. At age 11, Minister Gooch moved her membership to First Baptist Church of East Nashville. She preached her trial sermon and was licensed as a minister of the Gospel on June 12, 2005 at First Baptist Church of East Nashville by Dr. Floyd E. Lacey, Sr. She was ordained into the ministry by Pastor Derrick L. Jackson at First Baptist Church in Galltin, Tennessee on March 3, 2013.

Minister Marveya Gooch has always had a strong passion for ministry. She strives to see young Christians grow in grace and spiritual maturity. She has taught Sunday School, trained Sunday School teachers, led a drama ministry, served as Coordinator for Children's Church, Director of Christian Education, and Minister of Children and Youth. Minister Gooch continues to coach a youth bible quiz team, and she help facilitate workshops for adults on being "single and saved."

Minister Gooch has worked in accounting in the Functional Accounting Department of Tractor Supply.  She has also led as a Safety Captain and Fun Team Coordinator for Tractor Supply. Minister Gooch also actively volunteers with Hands on Nashville and the United Way. She is the legal gauardian of her two nephews, Reginald and Rico Jones. Minister Gooch lives by I Timothy 4:12: "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example to the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, and in purity."
