Minister Phillip Lee Kesler has been a leader in mission work from an early age. He has ministered cross-culturally even while serving in the military.  He is a Gulf War veteran (former Captain, USA).
 
Minister Kesler and his family moved to Brazil in 1998. He has worked  as a Strategy Coordinator leading a team that reached Arabs, Chinese, the Urban Poor, and other people groups and population segments in the region of Foz do Iguaçu (border of Brazil with Paraguay and Argentina) for seven years.

In 2005, Minister Kesler was invited to accept the role of Strategy Mobilizer for Brazil in the International Mission Board (Missão Batista do Sul), and in 2006, he was invited to accept the position of the first Ethnic Projects Coordinator for the Home Mission Board of the Brazilian Baptist Convention. He and his family moved to Rio de Janeiro in December 2006.
 
In March 2008, Minister Kesler accepted the role of Regional Mobilization Strategist for South America., and in July 2009, he accepted the role of Associate Cluster Strategy Leader for the Mobilization and Partners Cluster. In 2010, Minister Kesler was invited to become the Cluster Strategy Leader for the Global Mobilizing Cluster of the Americas.  From 2010 until the end of 2015, he led this cluster (team) of 32 units (couples as well as singles) serving throughout the Americas, Europe, and strategic locations in Asia – all working to mobilize, train, and place Brazilian, Latin American, and Caribbean missionary workers among the least reached of the world – especially vocational workers in the area of sports, education, business, health care, technical services, and social work – in cooperation with more than 40 partners worldwide.
 
Minister Kesler has also served on the board of Operation Mobilization in Brazil.  Educationally, he has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with concentrations in the Middle East, North Africa, and Russian Studies from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, USA in 1986, and a Masters of Divinity degree in Christian Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 1998.
 
Minister Kesler  is  married to Mrs. Donya Kathleen Kesler, a gifted and published writer and teacher. He has three daughters and one son; Bethany, Anna, Aline, and Charles; as well as two grandchildren. He  currently resides in Portland Tennessee with Donya and Charles, and his passion is to see the maximum number of workers going out to reach the remaining unreached peoples of the world – in their countries of origin as well as within Diaspora communities.
