Leslie Dowell

Leslie C. Dowell Jr., was born in Gallatin, TN to the late Leslie C. Dowell Sr & Beulah Jamerson Dowell. Educated in the Sumner County school system, he graduated from Union High School in 1966. He furthered his education at Nashville State Community College where he pursued an associates degree in Robotics. After graduating from high school, Leslie enlisted in the US Air Force for 4 years. He received an honorable discharge from the Air Force and then enlisted in the Army Reserve from which he retired in 1992 after serving 22 years. Leslie was employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority for 32 years, retiring in 2009. While there, he worked in the following capacities: Lineman Electrician Welder Electrician Electrician Foreman Maintenance Coordinator Maintenance Supervisor Leslie is a faithful member of First Baptist Church and has served as the chairperson of the Trustees and the Finance Committee. In addition to his responsibilities as the Facilities Manager, he continues to serve on the Trustee Ministry and the Finance Committee.
