Minister Theresa's Inspirtation for her Life Group

Hi! My name is Minister Theresa Harrison and my husband's name is Lamont Harrison and have been married for fifteen years and we are a blended family of eleven children and twelve grandchildren soon to be thirteen. I  had five children  coming into the marriage and Lamont had six kids coming  into  the marriage. I only knew of the  younger three going into  the  marriage but was  introduced to the  older  three  as time went on.  Blending our families was a  challenge.  From my  end we  dealt  with things like  getting used to a man in the  house helping  me to make the decisions,  chores and  punishment and I  tell you  personalities  clashed.  On  my husband's end, his oldest daughter expressed her feelings and we listened, but still moved forward with our plans as parents.  At times this caused a great attack on our marriage that led to things like alcohol and infidelity to deal with the pain that caused me to separate myself from my husband. But God!! He had a plan greater than us both and now back stronger than ever!

Now all of the older children are grown with careers and kids but my husband's younger three are back with their mother and are struggling with things like gender issues, drugs and violence that we have tried to intervene without success. Since then I have been diagnosed with cancer and this diagnosis has made us look at life in a whole new way to bring us closer together. As a family, we have put Romans 8:28 across our hearts whenever we get discouraged about the challenges we face as parents. It reads, “And we know that ALL THINGS work together for the good of them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

I realize that I am not the only one who is dealing with life and in this life group we can share life together through our testimonies and revelations we have learned along the way. We're all called and no matter what comes our way it will all work out for our good and God can get the Glory. So come let's do life together!
